Ok so I have to admit I am a bit of a pushover. I have the hardest time firing clients and I take these things way to personal. I have this client who I have requested multiple times that they provide me with 10 solid hours per week of work as I need steady work desperately. He has promised to do so and has yet to provide me with more than an hour a week! Now if he were paying me what I was actually worth I would not mind.
I have been contemplating firing this client for some time and have yet to make a decision on if I should and how to do so with taste. Again this boils down to my lack of thinking "this is business it isn't personal". The client sets a time limit on tasks and claims he doesn't want to nickel and dime me, but I know he is using me and I feel if he wants to offer low wages, he should hire someone who can provide their services at that price.
So my question is, should I fire him? My heart is telling me yes, because I don't like being used like a disposable toothbrush. But my brain is saying no because I need any funds that come my way. I enjoy freelance a lot, but I am really beginning to despise the people who use freelancers for their projects because they are simply to lazy to do their own work, and refuse to pay a decent price!
